Common Conditions We See

Arthritis

• does your dog have a harder time getting around? going up or down stairs? getting in and out of the car? playing the games they love?
• Dogs can develop arthritic pain which makes them feel stiff and sore and less likely to be active.  Movement is key to keeping our joints and muscles healthy and an individualized program including pain relief modalities can help break the pain cycle and get your dog back to doing what they love

Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) Injury

• The CCL is similar to the human ACL.  Partial or complete tears can lead to pain, swelling, limping and decreased knee movement.
• If surgery is indicated, your dog may benefit from preoperative rehabilitation in addition to post operative rehabilitation to ensure the best possible outcomes
• If conservative care is your choice we can create an individualized program to help your dog reach their peak function

Hip Dysplasia

• When the hip joint doesn't develop correctly there is increased movement within the hip joint.  This increased movement or laxity, can cause bone spurs and arthritic pain as the dog ages if they don't have enough hip and core strength to support the joint.
• We will create a program specific to your dog's needs to reduce pain and keep them doing what they love

Back Pain

• Degeneration of the intervertebral discs (IVDD) can cause pain, weakness, and changes in balance and coordination and motor control
• Some dogs require surgery depending on the severity of their symptoms. Pre and post operative rehab can help ensure the best possible outcomes
